Every now and then, there is a unique feature in a credit card so cool that it makes you want to get one, even if you have no practical use for another card.

The Emirates Citi Platinum card has one such feature: One complimentary chauffeur driven ride per year to and from the airport when flying Emirates.

I'm aware I could probably purchase one such ride for the $229 annual fee of the card. I'm also aware I rarely fly overseas and when I do, I don't fly with Emirates. I'm also (painfully) aware I have more than enough credit extended to me already. But none of that rationality competes with a chauffeur standing in the airport holding up a card with my surname on it.

The Emirates Citi Platinum also offers credit limits up to $100,000, a complimentary lounge pass (for two) per year to any Emirates Lounge in Australia when flying Emirates, complimentary access to the Marhaba Airport Lounge in Dubai, membership to the Emirates Skywards Miles rewards program, free international travel insurance for you and your family, purchase cover, extended warranty, transit accident insurance and a concierge to provide you with information and assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Plus, 2.9% for twelve months on balances transferred AND earn 3 Skywards Miles per $1 spent (normally 1.5 miles per $1), up to 20,000 Miles.

The interest rate and annual fee are both quite high (20.99% on purchases, 21.24% on cash and $229 per year), but that's fairly standard for a platinum card.

Overall, the Emirates Citi Platinum offers the greatest range of services we've seen in a credit card. It's not for everyone - there are lower interest rates and annual fees, but if you're in the market for a platinum or a great balance transfer deal, this one's hard to beat.
