personalised credit card comparision

« Back to question board
I have been frustrated every time I look for a new card (or try to compare a card to my current card) as most websites only give partial information (i.e. not listing fees etc) and do not really cater for personal circumstance to see which card would be best for an individual. What i propose is a comparison/suggestion online tool where people enter relevant information and then it suggests cards suited for them and show real cost of ownership. i.e. some inputs may be: -interest free days wanted -expected monthly spend -average monthly repayments -how many times you are late on payments per year -expected monthly -wants a reward program? -wants cash back -wants frequent flyer or similar -wants fuel discount ( how much fuel is bought per month) -wants additional card holders and the outputs may be: -card offer name -interest rate -annual fee (including any additional card holders) -total rewards earnt per annum (i.e. how much cash back or flights etc) -total expected cost/return of using card per annum( any cash back - interest earnt - annual fee - late payment fees) -total cost/return as a percentage of income I could probably whip up a java applet to demonstrate what i mean.
That's a great idea Nick.

We will look at expanding our existing 'Help me Choose a Card' tool to include some of your suggested inputs and outputs.

Many thanks for the suggestion.
