Bad Credit Rating

« Back to question board
I am earning $70,000 plus in a permanent job for nearly 18 months now. Would like to apply for a credit card in Australia. What card will be the most likey to approve my application? Thanks for your assistance
Hi Carrie,

It's difficult to say, as banks don't disclose their credit decision criteria.

At $70,000 a year in a permanent job, you should have no problem securing any credit card, but it's difficult to say without knowing more about your credit history and financial position.

I gather from the title of your question that you may have been rejected for a credit card because of your credit history. If that's the case (and the information on your credit history is accurate) there is very little you can do except pay your bills on time and wait.

Take a look at this article: http://www.iwantacreditcard.com.au/article/credit-ratings-explained/

I hope that helps.

Cameron.
